Job Summary:
Our analysts play a significant role in the strategic development and stewardship of social media programs and will implement various online campaign strategies for key clients. They will assist with the implementation, monitoring, reporting, and analysis of social media marketing for these clients.
Major Job Responsibilities / Accountabilities:
- Develop social media audits for clients, gathering data around brand visibility, tonality, and traffic from social media monitoring tools, as well as creatively searching online
- Assist in the development of creative, strategic, and tactical online marketing plans for social media and word of mouth driven campaigns
- Execute social media engagements for clients, including serving as a community manager for clients' social presence (e.g., Facebook Pages, Twitter feeds)
- Maintain awareness of new social media marketing techniques being used by others, as well as look for opportunities to innovate and develop completely new techniques
- Organize audit data and research findings into presentation reports under the direction of senior team members
- Track success of social media marketing programs and develop reports for clients
The Ideal Candidate:
- Has a thorough understanding of the social media landscape
- Great familiarity with social networking, the blogosphere, search tools, RSS feeds, and Web 2.0 platforms (Facebook, Twitter, YouTube, Wikipedia, Digg, Technorati, etc.)
- Personally/professionally active in social platforms; an early adopter who is first to discover the latest online buzz
- Has strong project management, time management, and client relations skills
- Possesses excellent oral, written, interpersonal, and presentation communication skills
- Has an intellectual curiosity (always asking "why?" and "what next?")
- Proactive; takes direction and runs with it
- Works well with cross-functional teams
- Is analytically strong with proven ability to demonstrate data interpretation capabilities
- Is self-motivated and able to multitask and self-manage in a fun, fast-pasted, rapidly growing and creative environment
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in English, Marketing, Public Relations, Journalism, or Communications
- 1-3 years experience in related field (e.g., marketing, public relations, advertising, market research)
- Digital marketing or social media marketing experience preferred
- Proficiency in Microsoft PowerPoint, Word, and Excel
- Basic understanding of SEO and SEM a plus
